Costa Mesa

The City of the Arts Near the Water!

Costa Mesa is a diverse city that caters to people from a variety of perspectives. Most of the residents in Costa Mesa live in their home an average of 30+ years.

Over the last 10 years the city has paved a path displaying its artistic qualities from theater and music at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts and at the Art Plaza to cultivating events events and programs include the signature ARTventure event, Arts in the Park event, Utility Box Beautification Project, Youth Art Gallery and many calls for artist submissions throughout the city.

Costa Mesa also hosts the largest shopping center on the West Coast, South Coast Plaza, which offers residents and visitors all of the luxury of shopping and dining options they can think of.

All of Costa Mesa is freeway accessible with all of the major freeways intersecting within its boarders - 73/405/55 - making this area very appealing for commuters who want the beach lifestyle.

South Coast Metro is the residential community just North of the mall. The homes here are generally well-kept and boast the feature of having no overhead telephone lines.

Westside Costa Mesa, the oldest part of Costa Mesa, has been the host to gentrification which has generated a cool new chic-eclectic vibe with a mix of commercial and residential space. Intertwined are great food and coffee destinations. You will also find unique music venues sprinkled in. But, don't forget to visit some of the old time staples like El Toro Bravo and Alejandro's.

Mesa Verde is a popular destination for larger households with it's expansive lots and proximity to the golf courses.

Eastside Costa Mesa neighbors Newport Beach and has a more relaxed but affluent vibe. It is known for its proximity to the Newport Beach Back Bay Nature Preserves where you can walk or bike the loop. You can also find plenty of shopping, dining and amenities on 17th Street.  The homes vary from condo and townhomes to large lots. The homes were built from the 1940's on so it is a mix of old and new without the confines of HOA standards. There are a few enclave communities that have similar building styles with smaller lot sizes. The proximity to the beach and to the beach lifestyle without the price tag that comes with living in Newport Beach is the main reason people move here.

There are several central Costa Mesa communities to boast about for their character, community spirit and overall lot size - Halecrest, Mesa North, Mesa Del Mar are a few. They each have their own feel and desirability.
